Solar PV installation for a cental london 50 storey tower.

A landmark 50 storey tower in central London offering commercial offices with elevated outdoor terraces and public viewing gallery at the top of the building. This has become the tallest commerical building in the UK to acheve BREEAM Outstanding.

To acheive this rating, solar energy was a key component. Comera Energy were engaged to design, supply and install the photovoltaic installation. The array is located on an outdoor terrace on the 48th Floor with one of the key challenges being wind loads at a height of 190m necessistating a bespoke frame installation.

The array was integrated with the building fire safety systems.

System Size: 20Kw comprising 400w Sunpower panels. Annual output 20,533 Kwh with an annual CO2 saving of 4,253 kg.
