Solar PV installation to Blavatnik School of Government
Comera Energy were engaged to design, supply and install the photovoltaic installation to the new building which would host one of Oxford’s newest departments, the Blavatnik School of Government. The building was designed by Herzog & De Meuron Architects formed in an irregular stack of circular blocks in glass and concrete.
The split-level circular design of the building posed a number of challenges with the panel layout and shading issues from the higher roof. We worked closely with the client to ensure the system worked both technically but also aesthetically, as parts of the system are overlooked by a roof terrace.
System Size: 33.35Kw comprising 102 Sunpower 327w panels. Annual output 29,881 Kwh with an annual CO2 saving of 13,700 kg.
