The Triangle is a state-of-the-art leisure centre sitting in the heart of Burgess Hill, offering a fitness gym, swimming pool, soft play, party facilities and both internal and external sports facilities. A building of that mix draws power steadily right through the day, so a high proportion of on-site generation is consumed on site rather than exported.
Comera Energy were engaged to design, supply and install the photovoltaic system. The array is installed on a Kingspan trapezoidal roof using a Renusol mounting system matched to that profile, and was integrated with the building’s fire safety systems.
The installation generates around 216,229 kWh a year, offsets 44,774 kg of CO₂, and returns roughly £55,100 annually — an estimated £1.38m across its lifetime — against a facility with a large and constant daytime energy demand.
