Solar and twin batteries for a heat-pump home
30 × 440W panels — 20 on the south-facing garage roof plus a second elevation — with two 9.5kWh GivEnergy batteries in parallel to stay off-grid for longer.
Tailored systems designed around how your household actually uses energy, using panels, inverters and batteries from established manufacturers, installed by our own accredited engineers.
Panels from JA Solar, Jinko and Q CELLS, on Nicolson Rooftrak mounting built for UK weather. The exact models going on your roof are itemised in your quote — before you commit to anything.
SolarEdge, Solis and Fox ESS inverters with full monitoring, so you can see exactly what your system generates, stores and exports.
Tesla, Sonnen and Fox ESS batteries put you in control — store daytime solar for the evening, charge on cheap overnight rates, and keep essentials running in a power cut with house backup.
Our own workmanship guarantee covers the installation itself — the mounting, wiring and commissioning we’re responsible for. It runs for two years and is insurance-backed, meaning the cover stands even if we were no longer trading. That is the minimum required of us under the RECC consumer code, which we are registered with.
The panels, inverter and battery each come with their own manufacturer guarantee. These differ from product to product, so rather than quote a headline number that may not apply to your system, we set out the exact terms for every component in your written quote — before you commit to anything.
Guarantee terms vary between manufacturers, change over time, and depend on the manufacturer still being there to honour them. A single figure on a website tells you very little on its own.
If a guarantee matters to your decision, say so at survey and we’ll talk the options through before anything is specified.
PV cells convert daylight — not just direct sun — into DC electricity, even on cloudy days.
Your inverter turns DC into the AC electricity your home runs on, prioritising your own usage first.
A battery holds surplus generation for the evening instead of exporting it at a lower rate.
Anything left is sold to the grid under the Smart Export Guarantee — our accredited installs qualify automatically.
Our home installation teams cover Bristol, Bath, Somerset, Gloucestershire, Wiltshire and the surrounding areas — broadly anywhere within about an hour of Bristol. Further afield, we still take on larger domestic projects, so it is worth asking. Our commercial work is UK-wide.

A large family home with a SolarEdge array and a 9.5kW GivEnergy battery, set up so every panel is monitored on its own and the battery can be tracked through the day.
