These are the figures estimated for this installation, not metered results. What a household actually saves depends on its electricity tariff and how much of the day it is using power.

A Viridian Clearline in-roof array fitted during re-roofing, with a GivEnergy hybrid inverter and a 9.5kW GivEnergy battery installed outside under a custom-made cover.

Our customer, a semi-detached homeowner in Hinton near Chippenham, was already re-roofing the property and wanted the panels to be part of the roof rather than sit on top of it. We recommended the Viridian Clearline in-roof array to take advantage of the built-in technology available — the Clearline Fusion range integrates directly into the roof covering and gives a noticeably sleeker finish.

We work with a range of suppliers depending on what each customer needs, and here the timing of the re-roofing made the integrated route the obvious one.

The panels were connected to a GivEnergy hybrid inverter — a single unit that manages both the panels and the battery — alongside a new 9.5kW GivEnergy battery. Space inside the house was tight, so the system was installed outside instead. To keep that neat, our team cut a custom cover to shape for it — the sort of detail we would rather get right than leave to chance.

The array generates roughly 3,420 kWh a year and saves around £872, with a lifetime saving of around £21,800.
