On assessment, the best place to mount the inverter and battery storage turned out to be the garage attached to the house. There was no route to run a cable internally from the distribution board across to it, so instead the team installed an external armoured cable — providing the AC connection between the incoming mains and the newly installed DC production without cutting through finished interior work.
